Since the beginning, involving parents and guardians in the creative development of their children was a central tenant of the Creativity in the Classroom methodology.

 

Each year parents have the opportunity to participate in workshops with artists, teachers and their own children in their classroom. This gives children the opportunity to share their creative experience with their adults, demonstrating their diverse talents and abilities. These sessions provide a valuable opportunity to broaden the reach of the project into the community and to bring about more understanding of the value of the arts in the lives of children and adults alike.
